Low Sodium Meat Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Grapeseed Oil
- ½ Sweet Onion diced
- 3 Garlic Cloves diced
- 6 oz White Wine Pinot Grigio
- 1 lb Ground beef 90/10 lean
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper fresh cracked
- ⅛ tsp Chipotle Powder optional
- 1 Tbsp Italian Herb Blend
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 28 oz Alessi Peeled Whole San Marzano Tomatoes
- 14.5 oz Tomato Sauce no salt added
- 10 Basil Leaves Fresh, chopped
- 1 Tbsp Honey
Instructions
- In large pan saute onions and garlic in oil until fragrant. About 2 minutes
- Add white wine and reduce until almost gone. About 6-8 minutes
- Add ground beef and season with pepper, chipotle, Italian herbs, garlic powder and balsamic vinegar
- Continue cooking until ground beef is cooked through
- Add San Marzano Tomatoes and Tomato sauce.
- Use fork or potato masher to mash the whole San Marzano tomatoes into the sauce
- Stir in basil and honey
- Simmer for 10 minutes and serve
